Foreman
Responsibilities:
- Overall & daily supervision of the assigned project in the DC, MD, VA region, as a hands-on leader in the field for Hardesty, Inc.
- Plan & coordinate construction crews, ensuring project tasks are assigned and completed to a high standard.
- Schedule & manage the crew's time on the project, and the materials required to complete construction in a timely fashion per the construction schedule. An ability to look ahead and plan accordingly is essential.
- Communicate & coordinate with Hardesty's project management team, the General Contractor, and other construction subcontractors.
- Review & interpret plans, drawings, blueprints, CAD renderings, Gantt chart schedules, and scopes of work.
- Assist in the resolution and prevention of technical issues on the assigned project.
- Ensure all crew members are completing their work safely, in compliance with all construction safety regulations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC construction, with 2+ years of supervisory experience on commercial construction projects.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, with a flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends if and when required.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), with a competency in English.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, submittal data, engineered drawings, and construction documentation is a must.
- Ability to work in a physical environment, withstanding exposure to the elements, tight spaces and heights.
- Good organizational skills & attention to detail.
- Ability to work under high pressure.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess valid driver's license.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Sheet Metal Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Measure, sketch, fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork for commercial HVAC projects in the DC, MD, VA region.
- Installation of HVAC equipment, duct-board, flexible duct, dampers, and duct insulation.
- Complete tasks as assigned by the project foreman to a high standard.
- Schedule & manage materials required to complete ductwork in a timely fashion per the construction schedule.
- Communicate & coordinate with Hardesty's project management team, the General Contractor, and other construction subcontractors.
- Lead, instruct and assist junior mechanics and helpers, in collaboration with Hardesty's foreman.
- Review & interpret plans, drawings, blueprints, CAD renderings, and scopes of work.
- Assist in the resolution and prevention of ductwork issues on the assigned project.
- Possess the necessary personal hand and power tools required for HVAC sheet metal installation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC sheet metal construction.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, with a flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends if and when required.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), with a competency in English.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, submittal data, engineered drawings, and construction documentation is a must.
- Ability to work in a physical environment, withstanding exposure to the elements, tight spaces and heights.

Sheet Metal Apprentice
​Responsibilities:
- Installation of sheet metal ductwork, HVAC equipment, duct-board, flexible duct, dampers, and duct insulation for commercial HVAC projects in the DC, MD, VA region.
- Complete tasks as assigned and instructed by the project foreman and/or mechanic.
- Attentively work with foremen and mechanics, to actively improve knowledge and understanding of the trade.
- Possess, or be willing to purchase, the necessary personal hand and power tools required for HVAC sheet metal installation.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in construction.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, with a flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends if and when required.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), with a competency in English.
- Ability to work in a physical environment, withstanding exposure to the elements, tight spaces and heights.
- Good attention to detail and a propensity to learn.
- Commitment to learn the HVAC industry and train on the job.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Possess valid driver's license.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
